Anne May, Arapawa goat breeder, will be our guest speaker on Saturday 17 March 2018.
The New Zealand Arapawa goat is one of the rarest goat breeds in the world; Anne had some of the first Arapawa goats to be imported into the UK from New Zealand, where they were in danger of being culled to extinction.
Read Anne’s own words about her experience in issue 2 (page 7) of the New Zealand Arapawa Goat Association newsletter (1.8MB, PDF).
In January 2018, the goats featured on the BBC’s Countryfile programme (Adam’s Farm section), which reported that there could be “as few as 150 of the goats worldwide”.

Herefordshire Goat Club will meet at 12pm at The Bell Inn, Tillington. Anyone with an interest in goats is welcome!
